Patina Finish on a Mora Knife

Artisan Tony Shows Off This Simple Method

First, this is one truly simple method for adding character to a Mora blade. Second, using a more shiney stainless blade produces the best results.

The list of items necessary is short and easy to acquire. One More knife, 2 pieces of citrus, oranges or clemantines work best, and a few hours time to allow the process.

I am not sure if this is by definition a true patina or more of an acid etching, but either way the finish certainly has character after the process.

Keep in mind, this is a permanent alteration!

Artisan Tony does a great job in this video of explaining the process and showing off the results. Thanks Tony!
