Hawk Mountain Sanctuary

 

Just north of Hamburg, PA, is the Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. Known to be the world's largest birds-of-prey refuge. The Appalachian Trail is accessible from the sanctuary and vice versa. Let it be known! the trails are rugged in this region. The usframe crew has a series of a late summer hike in this region. Those are are found towards the bottom of this page.

Sturdy footwear, plenty of fluids, and FAK with some ace wraps are a must for the usframe crew on a hike such as this.
