The Appalachian Trail, High Point, NJ
Reaching the vistas along the Appalachian Trail in High Point, New Jersey will not require as much of a vertical climb as other locations. One is able to drive up the mountain and find parking for the trail near a state park office. Many other local loops and trails are found here, also.
What a pleasant region. The temperature was warm, and the air breezy. Just a beautiful, clear day to take a hike and find the scenic vistas.

This moderately easy hike afforded us plenty of time to ponder survival issues, and fool around along the way.
